Custom Fantasy Feather Hair Clip

The feather string is made of 3-4 oz leather, hand cut, hand tooled, and then hand molded into the shapes you see. After they are allowed ample time to dry it is dyed with three coats of a base alcohol leather dye which helps in the stiffening process. The feather is then base painted with the color paint of choice and then edged with a complimentary color, generally a metallic which will be the same color as the back. Also spot painting can be done on as these as well if wished but not as many colors can be applied to one feather as seen in the large feather. There are then complimentary colors painted at the base of the feather to make the primary colors pop!. The main vein is then painted with the same metallic color as the back . These were then given a glitter coat on top. The feather is then sprayed with leather sheen up to twice for a beautiful finish.
